We believe in our ideas and projects. We`ve decided to make a statement by founding our company because we want to make a change and we really believe that we will be successful.
orphanbiotec is a Start-up company. The makings of our company started about a year ago. It‘s been a long and exciting road. The company was founded in January 2009. A big thank you to all of those that believe in us and so actively supported our mission over the last year. We will continue to develop the foundation in its final steps to its own grand opening. Our first development project will begin shortly. For this we still need public and financial support.

Together with our partners (research center and other professionals) we are developing new medicines for Rare Diseases. A disease is defined as rare when a maximum of 1 person is diagnosed out of 2000 healthy people (or 500 diagnosed for every million people in the population of a country). This makes for more than 6,000 different rare diseases.

Our goal is to help People with Rare Diseases. For them, we develop new intelligent drugs to increase their quality of life. Our young Start-up Company has a unique business model and a creative partnership with our Foundation, which is for the development of new substances and therapies for Rare Diseases (Orphan Drugs).
We are using established knowledge before new substances.
Why? Because there is knowledge available that dates back over 2000 years about tested plant substances. There are more than 35'000 known plant substances out there which are more than enough to develop new medications for Rare Diseases.
This helps us to keep our budget low and leads us much faster to an new medication / Orphan Drug.
